Azeroth Survivors Co-op
A run holds one hero unless you open a "Co-op" lobby. Then the game seats up to 5 players in the zone the host picked, each on their own hero, and everyone goes in together.
How a party starts
4 steps, from the menu to the first horde together.
- 1Open the lobby from the menu. The menu entry is "Co-op", and it opens the window the game calls "Play with friends".
- 2Host it, or join one. The host types a lobby name, and the game hands out the code. A friend joins with that code under "Join by code", or finds a listed lobby in "Lobbies". The password is a second thing a guest types, and it is not the code.
- 3Pick your hero in your own picker. "Your hero and zone are the picker's. Friends join with the lobby's code; enter the zone when everyone is in."
- 4Enter the zone together. "Close this window and enter the zone: everyone in the party comes along." A guest is told the same thing from the other side: "You come along when the host enters the zone."
How many players fit
A lobby holds 5 players, the host included. The counter above the party shows "Party: 5/5" with every seat taken, and the host sets the limit under "Max players".
Before the zone opens
Two things happen before the party enters: the ready check, and whether every hero has the zone open.
The host calls "Ready Check". When it passes, the game says "Ready check: everyone is ready." A check the host drops says "The ready check was called off."
The lobby has "Party chat". An empty chat says "No messages yet. Say hello to your party!", and the text box shows "Say something... (Enter)".
"Everyone who joins needs this zone and difficulty open with their class. Change your hero or zone on the picker." A hero whose class has not opened it is told "hasn't unlocked this zone".
The host can add a "Description (optional)", remove a player with "Kick", and anyone can leave with "Leave the party".
When a hero goes down
"You are down: a friend must stand next to you." A friend who stands beside the downed hero brings them back, and the line above them opens with "A friend is bringing you back" and then counts the share that has come back.
When the run ends, the host decides what the party does next. A guest sees "Waiting for the host to choose: endless, or back to the lobby.", and "Back to the lobby" returns the party to the lobby for another run.

When the lobby turns you away
The lobby names its own reason, and each refusal asks something different of you.
- "that lobby plays a different version of the game"
- Both copies have to be on the same version of the game before a join goes through.
- "the party is full"
- Every seat is taken. Wait for one to free up, or host your own lobby.
- "wrong password"
- The code was right and the password was not. Ask the host for it.
- "the host left"
- The lobby went with them, so the party is over.
- "co-op needs the game's site"
- Co-op is served by the game's own page. A copy on your own machine cannot open one.
- "the run is under way"
- The host has already entered the zone. Joining works before the party enters, so wait for the next run or host your own.
- "too many tries; wait a minute"
- The lobby refused that code too many times in a row. Wait a minute, then try again.
- "that lobby name isn't allowed"
- The lobby refuses that name. Try another one.
- "that description isn't allowed"
- The lobby refuses that description. Clear it, or write another one.
- "the host closed the party"
- The host ended the party, and that takes everyone out of it, not just you.
Questions
How many players can play together?
Up to 5, the host included. The party counter shows "Party: 5/5" when every seat is taken.
Do we need the same version of the game?
Yes. A lobby on another version refuses the join with "that lobby plays a different version of the game".
Can I play co-op from the Windows download?
Only the game's own page opens or joins a lobby. A copy on your machine reports "co-op needs the game's site".
What happens to my hero when I go down?
"You are down: a friend must stand next to you." A friend beside you brings you back, and the party keeps playing.
Can a browser copy and a Windows copy share one lobby?
We have not read that anywhere in the game's own words. The game checks the version and says so. It never mentions the platform, so treat it as unconfirmed.
What travels with the party, and who keeps it?
We have not read this. The game names the lobby, the party and the revive, and says nothing about loot, experience or saves travelling with a party, so this page claims nothing either.
Where these words come from
Every label above is the game's own, shown by the screen it names, as the game stood on 2026-11-02, version f339dd20e0fe. Co-op belongs to the browser game at wow.aethus.pl. The rebuild this site ranks is single player, so the ranking measures one hero alone.
